Sundance is a traditional Native Indian ceremony representing Life and Rebirth. Today it is a ceremony engaged by many, each with its own variation but with many commonalities such as: dancing, singing and drumming, fasting and prayer. The Sun Dance is ordinarily held once a year.
Wiwanke Wachipi - The Sun Dance
A Ceremony, in which we share the Great Spirit through song and prayer with all, regardless of race or religion. Sundance is a sacred ceremony and is not for show or entertainment. We ask all people, Native and Non- Native, to respect our ways as we do yours.
